正山小种是中国红茶的鼻祖，也是世界红茶的源头。它产自福建武夷山桐木关，已有400多年的历史。
正山小种的特色是松烟香。这种独特的烟熏味来自传统工艺中的松木熏焙，让茶叶带有独特的桂圆干香。
松木熏焙的工艺源自意外。相传明代某次茶季发生山火，茶农将茶叶烘焙时意外吸入了松木的烟气，反而创造出独特的风味，从此流传下来。
传统正山小种有"过红锅"工艺。将发酵后的茶叶用铁锅高温炒制，让茶叶停止发酵，形成独特的口感。
正山小种在欧洲曾是奢侈品的代名词。17世纪传入欧洲后，迅速风靡贵族阶层，引发了"下午茶"文化。
